Import a spreadsheet Import a spreadsheet. Already have a schedule in a spreadsheet? Import it onto the project. Start from the template, or bring your own. One item per row: the number, area, name and quantity, and anything else you have. An area the project lacks becomes a new one. Bring it in three ways: upload the file, paste a link to the sheet online, or paste its cells. Pasted cells need no sharing, good for a private sheet; pictures in cells don’t come across. A link can be to a Google Sheet, or an Excel workbook on OneDrive or SharePoint, shared so anyone with the link can view it. Read it, and it shows how every column is read. The template is read as it is; your own layout is read with AI. Preview lists every change it would make: new items, new areas, new people for the address book. Nothing is written until you import. A maker’s contact goes into your address book. People already there are matched, not added twice. Import, and it’s done. Every import is listed underneath, and for thirty days, Undo this import takes it back. And here’s the new spa on the specification list: five items, with makers, quantities and prices, ready to finish specifying. An import from a link keeps it. When the sheet changes, Import again from the link fetches the latest, and the preview shows what changed, row by row, before anything is written. That’s an import. More videos: portspace.io/videos
