Proposals and invoices Proposals and invoices. A proposal asks your client to accept items at a price. Check what you’re proposing; each item shows if it’s already on an order or an invoice. The draft holds the lines, with prices you can adjust, and your words to the client: an introduction, terms, and a deposit if you ask for one. Send it, and the client accepts it at a link. Their questions come back to the proposal, and you reply there. Invoice from the very same items. Anything already invoiced says where, so nothing is billed twice. Or start a blank invoice for your fees. Each invoice keeps its payments. Record a check or a bank transfer, or apply a deposit the client has already paid. Prefer to send it yourself? Download the proposal or the invoice as a PDF, and email it from your own address. Your client never has to hear from PortSpace. If your firm doesn’t bill through PortSpace, switch pricing, proposals and invoicing off. Each item keeps a budget price, and the project budget stays. That’s proposals and invoices.
