Renovating from photos Renovating from photos. For a renovation, start from photos of the room as it is. On a layout’s Visualize tab, choose From photos of the room. Add photos keeps up to six with the layout. Check up to three for a picture, and star the one taken from where the picture should be. The walls, windows and doors stay as photographed. The finishes and furniture are redone with the pieces you specified. If a camera on the plan stands where the photo was taken, choose it, and the pieces are placed as its blocking shows. The blocking is the layout seen from that camera, at true size: the same scene as the 3D tab. This photo stands at none of the plan’s cameras, so we choose None, the photo alone. Then daylight or evening, warm or cool, and a draft for two AI actions, or a final for five. It asks before anything is spent, and if the picture can’t be made, the actions are given back. It takes about a minute. Here’s the photo beside the draft made from it: the same room, with new finishes and the specified pieces. Every picture is labeled concept visualization: an impression to decide by, not a drawing to build from. Every version is kept, and stays with your team until you switch on Show to the client. In the project’s Renderings, each card opens in Visualize again, and says when the client approved it. That’s renovating from photos. More videos: portspace.io/videos
