Setting up your office Setting up your office. A new portal opens on five questions: what you call your people, whether you sell, which parts you’ll use, the software you’re coming from, and whether email goes to clients and vendors while you try it. Not yet keeps theirs in the outbox to review. The usual answers are picked; all can change later. Home then shows Finish setting up. Until you confirm your email, the portal emails only you; anything for anyone else waits in the outbox. The rest check off as they’re done. Start sending email to clients and vendors waits until you’re ready. Under Settings, Firm, the Brand puts your name, logo and color on everything you send. What you call your people is here too. Invite your team under People; clients and contractors see only their own projects. Each role is a set of checkboxes. Cost, margins and the firm’s money show only to the roles you check. Pursues new work lets a role see and start prospects. Under Work, Modules, your first answers are switches, Prospects among them, each saying what it takes away. Switch off procurement, and its orders and tabs go. Nothing is deleted. Under Email, Outgoing email starts sending, or pauses it. Below it, Approval can hold each email to someone outside the firm until you’ve approved it. And under Integrations, Import, bring in what you have, or let our support team do it. That’s your office, set up. More videos: portspace.io/videos
