Takeoff and room quantities Takeoff and room quantities. A hotel is ordered by the room. Under Specify, Areas and rooms, list each room type and how many: here, a hundred and twenty kings, eighty double queens and twelve corner suites. Room numbers go in as ranges. Change a room type’s count later, and every item’s quantity follows. On an item’s Quantities tab, Quantity by room type says how many go in one room of each type: one headboard per king, two per double queen. The guestroom carpet isn’t distributed yet. Press Distribute by room type, and type the square yards in one room of each. Save, and the total becomes the item’s quantity, nine thousand six hundred and eighty square yards, with the change noted in its history. Takeoff shows the whole project at once: items down, room types across, the quantity per room in each cell, and the total on the right. Reports has the room schedule: what goes into each room type, per room and extended. It downloads as a spreadsheet too. And under Reports and printouts, the FF&E matrices download as spreadsheets. The quantity matrix gives each item’s total by room type, with the items that have no takeoff under their area. The item matrix gives the quantity in one room of each type, and the room-number matrix a column for every room. That’s takeoff and room quantities. More videos: portspace.io/videos
