Time on specs Time on specs. Writing a good specification takes time, and it’s worth knowing how much, both for this job and for pricing the next one. On any item, open its Time tab and press Time this item. Your timer starts on the project as specification writing, with the item named. It runs on the server, so closing the tab won’t lose it. When you’re done, stop and save, and the item shows everyone’s time on it so far. The hours land on your timesheet, where you can also type them in, or use start and end times. The project’s Time tab adds them up: the specification writing on the job, and the hours on each item. And the hours report, by item or by project, shows how long each job’s specs really took, for quoting the next one. And if you bill by the hour, Invoice these hours turns the billable time into a draft invoice, priced by each person’s rate. That’s time on specs. More videos: portspace.io/videos
