Cookie note
Last updated October 12, 2026.
The portal sets a few first-party cookies and nothing else: no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, no cross-site tracking. Each is essential to what it does, so there is no consent banner.
ps_session— keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in, removed when you sign out or it expires. Without it the portal cannot know who you are.ps_admin— the same, for site administrators on the administration pages.ps_demo_lead— on the demo portal only. Set when you open a demo link so you can come back in without asking for a new one; it lasts 30 days. It also lets us count your visits and the pages you saw on the demo.ps_maint_pass— for site administrators only, for a day, so portals let them through while maintenance mode is on.ps_oauth_state,ps_ms_nonce,ps_slack_nonce— for a few minutes while you sign in with Google or Microsoft, or connect Slack: they check that the answer coming back belongs to the request you started, then are removed.ps_home— on portspace.io’s home page only, and only while we compare two versions of that page: which version you were shown, so you see the same one next time. With it we count, without your name or anything about you, how many visits to each version end in a sign-up. It lasts 90 days.ps_watch,ps_watch_link— on portspace.io’s film pages only: which of two short films you were shown (or opened by its own link), so you see the same one next time and we can count, without your name or anything about you, how many viewings of each end in a sign-up. They last 90 days.ps_project— inside a portal, the project you last picked, so the project bar opens on it next time.ps_view_as— for a firm’s administrators only, while they use View as to see the portal as another role or person.
The portal may also keep small preferences in your browser's own storage, such as whether a panel was left open or the settings you last used for a spec book. Those never leave your browser.
If the firm connects a third-party payment page, that page is the third party's and sets its own cookies when you visit it.
