0:03Where PortSpace has switched 3D models on for your firm, a product with a photo and its dimensions can have a model made from them.
0:12No good photo, or the maker’s site blocks it? Add photos or screenshots of the product; the model is made from those.
0:20Choose Standard, clean shapes at the right size in a minute or two, or Detailed, with more finish, in three to five. Each shows its price in AI actions, given back if the model can’t be made.
0:32To spend nothing here, we’ll look at the desk chair’s model. Each is checked against the specification’s size: this one is made to it.
0:41Turn it shows the model itself: drag to turn it, scroll to zoom.
0:46Every version is kept. Use this version makes another the product’s model, and Make an alternative asks for a fresh take.
0:53Upload a model brings in the maker’s own file, or one you’ve edited, as a new version, sized against the spec. It uses no AI actions.
1:02Download gives an OBJ with its materials, for most programs. Other formats has FBX, DAE, GLB, and USDZ for phones and tablets in augmented reality.
1:16On a layout, a piece with a model is drawn as the model seen from above, at its specified size.
1:22A model is an approximation, good for layouts and presentations. For exact geometry, use the maker’s own model where there is one.
